The fictional works of "Godfather" (and countless other similarly themed movies) are but the tip of the iceberg in many ways, for all that really goes on within Mafia type organizations (including Italian, Russian, European, Japanese Yakuza, Brazilian, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong 'black societies', etc).
