I could not agree with all of this more! We can all forget about the war on terrorism: if people are left with no choice except to riot because they have almost nothing to eat, this is certainly the worst thing that could happen to humanity!

I was shocked to read last night that George Bush has responded ordering $200 million dollars US be immediately released for food aid. Anything is helpful now, but this amount is a pittance compared with what is needed.

Many years ago, Frances Moore Lappe, a well known author of books including "Diet For A Small Planet" produced a Documentary Program for America's PBS Television about the growing worldwide food crisis. Lappe did a great deal of research for the program which pointed up how the International Monetary Fund was using its influence in developing nations to discourage locally grown foodstuffs in favor of "Cash Crops" for export to pay off the enormous loans the IMF had granted to those countries.

When I saw that Documentary Program in the 1980's, I came away from it with the awareness that political corruption and misuse of agricultural land was a "ticking time bomb" that would eventually lead to the terrible situation that we are in today.

It is now clear that biofuel agriculture is a disaster for the human food supply! Instead of "biofuels", the only intelligent way to utilize plant based oils for energy is by taking waste cooking oil and reprocessing that into fuel. This has been done successfully but can probably only be implemented on a small scale.

I replied :

Hi astral333,

Yes, it's terrible how political corruption and greed (on the part of IMF, governments, powerful policy-influencing organizations, etc) has plunged the world into this unnecessary-and-artificial darkness of suffering for most of humanity.

Instead of growing food crops to feed fellow humanity, pple/organizations/governments would rather grow cash crops out of greed, to the extent of their own eventual destruction. This clearly demonstrates the failure of the money system. Enlightened societies and planetary civlizations no longer use money, due to its inevitable abuse as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, leading to the eventual destruction of the entire species.

Yes, biofuels are a step in the wrong direction. Even the greed motivated perverse sacrifice of food crops while humanity is starving aside, scientists have confirmed that the cutting down of forests to grow biofuel crops means that taking this step in an futile attempt to reduce CO2 emmission, actually causes many times over more CO2 emission and strongly exacerbates the global warming problem!

Clearly, the world is going to be destroyed (in more ways than one) if humanity's current directions are not reversed and opportunities for vastly improved beneficial ways (of economics, nutrition, health, politics, awareness, etc) are soon established.

May the Guides, Helpers and All Beings of Higher Vibration guide Humanity through this (soon-to-be) darkest period of its existence since the destruction of Atlantis.

Kyo
