The unfortunate bit, is the blatant lack of understanding and compassion on the part of those around individuals with these or similar issues. It's obviously not pickles per se, that is the problem, but the fear and trauma (ostensibly from a past life) that she has for some reason or other, associated with pickles.

She, and other individuals with similar problems, insofar as people around simply do not understand the nature of the phobia or difficulty, could be well advised to apply for a Hilarion Reading with Jon C Fox.
